Artist's Comments

This piece is about a girl who's lost her beloved brother in a battle long ago. Not knowing the fate of her death is near, she reaches out and offers the God half of her life span(the light) in exchange for her brother's life.

I pictured this after I've played the game, Shadow of the colossus, which BTW is one of the most amazing and original puzzle game ever made. it was done couple of weeks ago on photoshop CS2 and Painter IX. this piece is the first one done with Painter. I still have long ways to get better at using the Painter IX.

Too freaking incredible. I'm lost for words. The whole mood of the scene, the gigantic figure of the colossus in comparison with the girl, the meaning behind it. :clap:

Impressive job it remenber me to shadow of the colossus so there is some kind of conection beetween the image and that game? =)
